Now extract the contents of the zip file downloaded in step #1, navigate into the extracted files and double-click on "PL2303-Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1200.exe" to start the installtion process. Repeat steps 5-7 until the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section shows "USB-Serial Controller D" with an error icon to the left. When completed, right-click on any entry in the Device Manager and select "Scan for hardware changes". Check the box to delete the drivers and then click on the "Uninstall" button to proceed.
